Coastal Printworks, Inc. is proud to announce the purchase of our second BROTHER DIRECT to GARMENT INK JET DIGITAL PRINTER. This Digital Printer, Model #GT782, is capable of printing on all color tee shirts, hoodies and fabric panels from white to black in Museum Quality 4-color-process.

Coastal Printworks, Inc. has led the way in Southern California in this state-of-the-art alternative to conventional screen-printing since its introduction nearly 10 years ago. Throughout our 10 year involvement with Brother DTG printing we have developed very unique and proprietary methods for producing digital prints that far exceed even the Brother Corporations standards and expectations!

Direct to Garment Ink Jet Digital Printing is a fantastic and cost effective way to offer our clients an alternative to conventional screen-printing. By not having to color separate artwork into its respective number of colors and then burn those separate colors to individual screens customers are now saving hundreds of dollars on their set up charges without sacrificing quality.

Replacing these conventional screen-printing set up charges is a simple file-to-file conversion charge of $75.00 which includes a pre-production sample. Reading from a client supplied 300DPI file we simply convert that file to a file that “speaks” to the Brother DTG System and we are good to print!

Direct to Garment or DTG Printing uses environmentally friendly water based inks in a CMYK format achieving vibrant colors and ultra high 600DPI resolution with sharp, crisp colors. In addition, this style of printing produces an incredibly soft hand and images appear “dyed” directly into the fabric, no matter the color.
